Nhat Le brings a wealth of experience with her as she steps into her role as co-owner of home.stead cafe & bakery. In addition to raising three children with her husband, Nhat has a professional background of work in which she provided resources to local businesses before she stepped into her own role as a business owner alongside her partner. She continues to balance this new position with her role as a mother and volunteers on a regular basis for VAVA of Boston, a Vietnamese language school that educates youths and adults on language and culture. Over the summer of 2023, Nhat transitioned from her government position to become a stronger presence at home.stead as Jack withdrew to dedicate more time to his other ventures. Nhat has embraced this opportunity to spend more time in the shop since its reopening in 2021, and she continues to devote herself to maintaining the space as an environment for people to connect and enjoy quality time with the community.

Elisa Girard has 17 years experience working as a household manager, and currently works part time as an executive personal assistant. She has enjoyed cooking for families for 13 years and has a great passion for baking and entertaining. Elisa has a bachelor of fine arts in Studio Art and has been involved in many creative enterprises throughout Boston. She has a love of urban gardening and beekeeping which she hopes to incorporate into the cafe.

Vivian Girard grew up in the southwest part of France and has called Fields Corner home since 2001. He has been involved in the renovations of several dilapidated multi-family properties in the area, restoring them into affordable, quality, and energy efficient housing units (Vivian is slightly obsessed about bicycling and energy efficiency). He is an active civic participant and has led the local neighborhood association called “Five Streets” for over a decade.

Jack Wu has served in numerous roles in non-profit and government agencies, most recently as the Chief Financial Officer at College Bound Dorchester, Inc., a non-profit organization committed to transforming the neighborhood of Dorchester by equipping students with the attitudes, skills and experience to graduate from college. He led all financial and administrative support operations for the organization.
